About Me

Hey, I’m Rosalind. I work in financial services. I’m a mom, a wife, and I’m baking again. Blog 411? Baking, cooking, mom stuff, life.

Excerpt accomplished, now here’s the longer story:

I work full-time for a Fortune 100 company in Los Angeles while holding down a second and third position as a full-time mom and wife. Double and triple shifts are typical in my life, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t make the most of my life. I can’t help but keep a full schedule. From volunteer work to random DIY projects, I’m always doing something and trying everything.

If you know me, I’m known for posting a lot of photos and videos on Instagram of my sassy, smart and BEAUTIFUL little girl.

I recently finished my Masters in Business Administration (MBA), and I’m looking for my next project. I think I’ve found it.

In 2016 and 2017, I was juggling work, motherhood and a full-time courseload for my MBA (traditional, not online…yikes). During this time I stopped baking, so now with my school work behind me, I am not only ready to bake again, but I am going to blog about it!

Why

Simple: I want a place to “talk out loud”, where I can combine my skills and interests to share recipes, stories and ideas with other people.

If there is anything I’ve learned in my life about juggling obligations it’s that the best forms of help come from family, then your community (online too!), and last but never least, Google searches.

Notes:

  1. I am often tempted to write posts about what I Google search, but then you might discover that I’m weirder than you had initially thought.
  2. I spend about 3 hours per day running strings of Google searches.
  3. I actually Google search things before I start asking family for advice.

Who

I’m writing for people who…

…love food
…love to cook and bake
…only love the IDEA of cooking and baking
…get hungry watching The Food Network
…celebrate with food
…make food for others and save none for themselves
…save recipes on Pinterest, Facebook and Instagram but never get around to testing them out
…go into food comas too many times to count
…are always somewhere between binging and hibernation
…love potlucks
…are first in the breakroom for birthday cake
…are first in line for free food
…say yes to free samples
…believe joy means sharing food with people you love
…get half angry but half impressed when their toddler steals food from their plate
…consider a large pizza a personal pizza
